Terms & Conditions  

  1. As a safeguarding measure, online tutoring may only take place for those under the age of 18 if there is a responsible adult in the home. Proof of this will be required before a lesson can commence.

  2. Please ensure you have access to a device with a microphone and camera; you may find a touch pad and pen useful for diagrams.

  3. Come to the session prepared, that may be with a pen, paper and calculator and think about the topics you wish to cover in our introductory chat.

  4. Tutors reserve the right to end tuition at any time and without recourse.

  5. Please be respectful and ready to learn!

  6. Please note the tutors are also teachers in schools and are not permitted to give support to pupils at their own school.

  7. I am confident you will be delighted with the service we deliver, however if you are at all dissatisfied with your Award Tutoring experience we discuss arrangements for a full/partial refund for the sessions in question.

  8. Cancelling an appointment is possible 48hrs before the time to qualify for a partial refund. (The cost of a session minus a £10 administration fee.) The refund will be arranged via email. Unfortunately less than 48hrs will incur the full cost of the session.

  9. Rescheduling an appointment is possible 48 hrs before, unfortunately less than 48hrs is not possible and will incur the full cost of the session.

Award Tutoring is not directly responsibility for any failure to achieve a desired exam result, and is not liable for any damages as a result.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

In line with GDPR effective of 25th May 2018, Award Tutoring has a duty to be clear about the personal data it manages. Award Tutoring will only hold personal data such as your name, email address, and where applicable your address, phone number and client’s tutoring schedule. All data is collected from email correspondence, and the “introductory form”. Award Tutoring collects this data to arrange registration and tutoring and all reasonable steps will be taken to prevent misuse. Award Tutoring will never pass on your data to any third parties. You have the right at any time to ask for a copy of the data related to you, and in some cases request data held to be deleted. All personal data will be removed once the client’s tutoring services has ceased.

All tutoring will be carried out online.
